Remove your meal gift from the fridge.
Reheat your lasagne by removing the paper lid and placing in a moderate oven (170˚C) and baking for approximately 30-40 minutes for a family size meal gift, or approximately 25-30 minutes for a meal gift for two, or until bubbling around the edges and hot. (You may wish to cover your lasagne loosely with aluminium foil to prevent it from drying out and browning too much during the reheating process.)
Pop your garlic bread – paper, string and all – into the oven with the lasagne for the last 10 minutes of reheating the lasagne. The butter should be completely melted when heated well.
(CAUTION: Please take care to place your garlic bread in the centre of an oven rack and avoid the paper touching the sides of your oven, particularly if you have an oven with an open flame or exposed elements. We don’t want your garlic bread going up in flames!)
Serve your lasagne with a side of nutritious Plenty house salad and some warm and buttery garlic bread.
To finish your meal on a sweet note, our baked desserts are always best served at room temperature.
Bon appétit! We hope you get as much enjoyment from eating your meal as we did in preparing it for you.
(P.S. Your aluminium trays are 100% recyclable. Simply soak overnight, give them a quick scrub, and pop them in your recycling bin. You never know, your trays might return to you in another form one day!)
In an effort to maximise our community impact and minimise our environmental impact, our meals are delivered fresh and chilled in a recyclable paper bag. Dispensing with Styrofoam boxes, wool insulation blankets and ice packs means lower operating costs and much less packaging. But what it also means is that someone needs to be available to receive your meal gift delivery and pop it straight into a refrigerator to keep it fresh and fantastic.
We can deliver to your home address, to your work, to a neighbour or to anyone you know who can be trusted to receive your delivery and pop it in the fridge for you (and not have a nibble – it’ll be tempting!).
We start our deliveries at 12 noon on Wednesday afternoons and will provide you with an accurate ETA the day before delivery so that you’re not waiting around all afternoon for us. Barring nightmarish traffic jams or delivery van breakdowns (heaven forbid!), we’ll be aiming to deliver your meal within 15 minutes either side of the ETA we’ve provided.
If you’ve already arranged for delivery to your home address and have realised that you need to duck out for school pick up, or for whatever reason you won’t be able to receive your delivery in person as planned, you can pop an insulated shopping bag at your door and we will place your meal gift into your bag, zip it up and leave it on your doorstep for you. We’ll let you know what time this delivery was made, but we can’t stress enough that this is a very temporary solution to keeping your meal gift fresh and fabulous (and fit for human consumption). Your meal gift will still need to be refrigerated ASAP!*
No one home and no insulated bag left out? Unfortunately we’ll be unable to deliver your meal gift.*
But we’ll do everything we can to let you know how your delivery is tracking and when you can expect us, to keep the wait time to as small a window as possible and make receiving your delivery as easy for you as we can.
*Please read our Terms and Conditions for further details on our meal gift deliveries.
We’re a new meal gifting service with one wonderful chef doing all of our excellent meal gift preparation. Currently, we have one delivery day per week (most definitely our favourite day
of the week). Thanks for bearing with us. The more orders we receive the more we can grow, increasing our delivery days and delivery radius (not to mention our community impact!). The good news is your meal gift will be freshly prepared in-house on the day of delivery. This means that you can refrigerate your meal gift for up to 3 days after it’s been delivered to you before you reheat it and enjoy!
You'll be the first to know about new items on our seasonal meal gift menus, our growing delivery radius and real life stories of generosity and hope.
